My new go to camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is absolutely amazing. I fell in love with my a6000 and had second marriage with my full frame a7II but this camera is mind blowing. The focus is ridiculously quick and on point. The eye focus is a total game changer. This camera is well constructed and compact. I’m only sorry I didn’t get this camera sooner. This camera is a definite no brainer.

Best bang for the buck
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was decided to buy the a6500 but in the end, spending the extra $400 just for IBIS and a touch screen ( that only works to focus) was not worth it. This has the same quality as the bigger brothers at almost half the price. Pairing this with OSS lenses will give great results in low light situations. Video is recorded at 6k and down scaled to 4K which looks awesome.

Very Nice Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm an A7S owner who was about to purchase an external 4K monitor/recorder when the a6300 was released. Instead I have an extra camera with internal 4K and 120fps HD plus slog2 and 3 for the same price. Good stills and great video!

This camera weights half a full dslr
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera and all these sony cameras are the way of the future. If your up to the future this camera system is for you. This camera in my opinion rivals the L cameras if you know what I mean.

An absolute bargain for the money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the A6300 for about a month now and I couldn't be happier! I have taken in excess of 3500 pictures in that time & am amazed at the image quality. I can recover details in shadows in landscape & city scapes that I just ca't get with my Canon 7DMKii. I am comfortable using higher ISO's than on my 7DMKii. Up to 6400 will produce a useable image. I also love the fact that I can use my Canon L series lenses on it with an adapter. Focusing is fast & accurate. Even the eye autofocus works after a firmware update on the adapter. I have done a couple of model shoots & other shots with it & am very happy with the results. And so are the models. I feel safe walking around downtown Miami at night with this and my tripod since the thieves think it's a toy camera and don't bother with these small mirrorless wonders. The biggest downside to the camera for me so far is the memory buffer. Shooting in RAW at high frame rates fills the memory buffer & you are stuck until it clears. Memory card speed does not seem to help. I'm using a 2000x Lexar card & it is the same as using my slower cards. It's great for shooting in 4k, which I do very little of. I'm not a video person. Battery life could be a little better, but so far I am averaging 400-500 shots on a full charge when shooting models. That goes way, way down if you are doing long exposure stuff. Maybe 125 shots at 30 second exposures. I love long exposure night photography, so I just carry a spare battery & I'm all set. Batteries are small & light, so they are easy to put in a pocket. I would highly recommend this camera to my friends or anyone else that has an interest in photography. It has lots of features for the new shooter & people like me who shoot in manual mode. Off camera flash systems from most all of the major manufacturers are now available for the Sony system. The Sony system is lightweight for most of the lenses, but people still complain about the weight of the high end lenses. Those with an apature of 2.8 or lower constant apature's aimed at he professional market. I am very happy with my choice in this camera and I intend to stay with the E-mount system for foreseeable future.

Amazing Camera for Photo and Video
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from the Nikon D5000, this was a big step. Being a student as well, justifying spending $900 on a camera and $300 on a lens, which by the way was the Sigma 30mm DC DN contemporary lens, was not the easiest thing I have ever done. But I was not disappointed at all. Great 4k video at 60FPS and 1080p Video at 120FPS, makes for amazing films, along with the great stills. I am more on the film side of the spectrum, and do photography every now and then, but I have to say that this camera, truly keeps having me amazed. The autofocus for video and photo is just incredible! Can hunt a little bit more in low light, but in normal circumstances, this camera is just fantastic! The build quality is stunning. Mostly made of metal, with a very small body, most people are amazed when the see what such a small camera can do. The hand bump fits perfectly in the palm as well. If you are past the beginner stages and looking for your next big camera, but still small enough to take around town or on trips, the a6300 if for you! I highly recommend the extra money it costs over the a6000 if you are interested in that 4k video.

Is there a 6 star rating?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was about to purchase the A7R II for a little over $1,500 before tax and then I started having second thoughts because of how little differences it had with the A6500, that got me into even more thinking as the only difference between the A6500 and the A6300 was IBIS and a touch to focus system. Was it really worth it to spend 50-70% more just for two features? Short answer, for me, it wasn't so I got the A6300 and it's been awesome, most of my lenses have OSS built in and the camera is mostly mounted on a tripod anyway and now that Sony released an app for your phone that lets you control the camera, you can use your phone's screen as a touch to focus system. All the money I saved went into some really nice lenses!

Q: QuestionWhich adapter I need to have to continue using Canon lenses?
Asked by lucasalvesfoto.
- A:Answer The sigma mc-11 has been a very reputable adapter to use with canon lens on Sony camera. It will allow for autofocus but keep in mind the autofocus wont be as consistent as a native Sony lens but if manually focusing with this adapter for canon on Sony bodies you should be very happy with the results. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new Sony camera. Love my a6300.

Q: QuestionWhen will Best Buy put the Sony - Alpha a6300 on sale? It is online cheaper at places like B&H Photo Video.
Asked by Rick.
- A:Answer I spent a lot of time researching and looking for the best deal. I eventually ended up buying from Best Buy because they price match and I felt that if I had an issue with it I could take it back to the store or get it fixed an a store near me rather than doing it online.

Q: QuestionI have the A6000 and primarily would upgrade to the A6300 for the silent shutter (amateur concert photographer). Worth the $$$ for this alone?
Asked by AnthonyM.
- A:Answer Silent shutter if fantastic and it is completely silent. However, I would NOT spend $1000 just for that feature though, especially in a noisy environment like a concert.

Q: QuestionWhat is the reason that BestBuy increased price for the Sony a6300? Initially BestBuy price was 999.99$ body only and 1149.99$ with E PZ 16-50 lens. Now (May 3 2016) 1,099.99$ body only and 1249.99$ with E PZ 16-50 lens.
Asked by JonathanS.
- A:Answer It seems to be back at 999.99 for the body alone, so my guess is there was a glitch of some type.
