The new 35mm is amazing by clarity, those other qualities you mention are going to be driven by them your camera body. As long as you know camera very good, the lens will only enhance it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think the colors were great with no sacrifice for sharpness. But I edit my photos anyways, and didn’t have any difficulty to make changes to get a great final product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Great even in the most demanding of situations. I have shot subjects directly in front of the sun and they don't get washed out with this lens compared to other lenses. Even at 1.4 it is possible to get tac sharpness on the subject.

Please try again later.A good lens will give you all the detail to work with and from that starting point a lot of what happens is up to how you twist the dials (on the lens and the camera) As with audio recording, If your mic doesn't capture all the frequencies, you can't reproduce what wasn't there! So I guess I would say this lens will give you a sharp, clear image if you want that, or you can play with focus and such (or in post) to get other effects. I can't imagine anyone using this lens and feeling like something's missing.
