How easy is it to work null

This radio is very easy to work. It really is a good radio. I'd say it's easy enough for my 4 year old niece to use.

Very easy - the time sets itself for the Eastern Zone. If you're in a different zone, just select a different button on the back. Setting the alarms is simple, as is tuning in your radio station.
