Not sure, but in my opinion worth a try. You’re not streaming through the TV, you’re streaming through the DVD player and then playing the DVD content which it receives from streaming on your tv. DVDs are also digital media, so if they play on your TV I don’t know why the stream is produced by the DVD player would not. just make sure to test it during the return. So that if it doesn’t work for you you can take the DVD player back.
