Can an optical cord connect to it to the tv for audio? null

I have an HDMI cable connecting the player to the TV. That is all that is needed for playing both audio and video from a DVD. I also have a digital coax connecting the player to my audio system which I use for playing CDs. There is no optical out on the Sony player.
