Hi Upscaling, No, it is not designed to upscale signal from other devices that are connected to the TV. ~Ralph
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not really. You are mixing & matching technologies hoping they work seamlessly. If you have a 4K DVD player, that doesn't mean it can play Blu-ray Discs. And if you have a Blu-Ray DVD player, that doesn't mean it will play Ultra High Def 4K HDR discs unless the DVD player says it upscales the DVD to 4K. Some discs will still play but not at the quality you might be hoping for. I'm hesitant to think you will be successful by taking your Satellite media, running it through an upscaling device of some kind & hoping you get what looks like 4000 lines of resolution. (4K). An upscaling to 4K DVD player is much more tangible because it is a source media spinning as a disc in your DVD player. So you know... Ultra High Def (UHD) is another way of saying the TV is 4K or shows 4000 lines of detailed resolution & works best if the source media going into the TV is coming in to the TV as high quality top resolution programming from the source, ie cable company, satellite TV, fiber optics, or soon by 5G.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The x box 1 s will do that for you you run your hdmi cable from your satellite receiver into the cable in on the back and then a hdmi cable from the out to your TV and it will upscale to 4K
