Generally, probably not. The user manual indicates that one would have to check the sticker on the bottom of the unit, to find out for which region a particular player is registered. My player is registered for region 1, and works with DVDs here in the U.S. The manual indicates that there is a sticker option "ALL" for all regions. But my unit is not one of those. You might want to contact SONY directly to find out whether an "ALL" unit might be available.
