This is NOT a 4K blue ray player it will not play 4K dvds. You need a much more expensive player for 4 K blue ray disks. These disks are also super expensive and there are not many out right now.

no . this upscales blu ray to near 4k. it is not a 4k disc player. i think samsung is the first company to come out with a 4k player and it costs somewhere in the $350 range.

No, this is not a 4K player. This just "upscales" the image to get closer to a 4K resolution.
