I will,work but not at 100 speed. Not even a ps4 will accept more than 20. Most electronic components wont take that much speed but the actual speed is in the lines not so much what the unit says.

I am not sure of the connection speed the players ethernet jack supports. However Sony recommends for this player a home network speed of at least 2.5 Mbps and 10 Mbps for HD content.

Gigabit I believe. Just get a Cat 6 or 6E Ethernet Cable and you will be fine. I also recommend getting a High Speed HDMI(2.0 Version) as well. If you are going to do something might as well do it right. Don't fall for the whole upgraded cable Monster thing, just get the Cheapest High Speed HDMI 2.0 you can find and same goes for the Ethernet Cable as well.
