It will upscale both signals, but for true 4K playback with HDR this isn't the player you're looking.

Please try again later.When I play Blueray disks on my Sharp Q+ TV, it says 2160p, Streaming Netflicks says 1080p and looks really good, but the regular HD signal from the cable box says 1080i. {IMPORTANT} Besure you have HIghspeed HDMI 10.2 Gbps v1.4 cables or better from the cable box and to the tv.
