Most products worth their price "upscale"...shouldn't effect anything. I do not notice any negatives of multiple "upscales." This player upscales which runs through my upscaling receiver which runs to my upscaling TV. I get a GREAT picture. This player will be great for ANY TV with an HDMI cable. The bonus of having a Sony TV is you should be able to lose a remote without losing functionality.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi. You can either set the Bluray or the TV to perform the upscaling through its menu. Initially, it is only the TV that performs the upscaling. You will need a 3D capable TV in order to play 3D content. Thanks, -Mark
