A:Answer I can answer without the marketing bias of the former Sony representative reply. I've purchased this product in January 2022 and use it every single day in multiple hours of video conferencing calls, and often times used it only for the audio (i.e. the camera is off). Because working from home is the new normal for a lot of people, we frequently find ourselves hearing background noises from the home environment of people on the call. I've been in calls while simultaneously a lot of strong noises were taking place just outside my house (think gardening, law mowing, utility repairs, large trucks and noisy worksite equipment), and in every single one of these situations, I've apologized to and asked all my other colleagues if they could hear the noises themselves (because I was having a hard time following the call myself). To my complete surprise, they've always confirmed they were completely clueless to what was going on around me, never hearing any of those heavy, low-frequency sounds. It seems that these neckbands do in fact have some awesome, premium-level noise cancellation around their mics and other people really just get delivered our own voices and nothing else.
