• I had the same thing happen. I had to exchange them for a different brand.

• I would read the instructions or watch a YouTube video because these are so easy to use. The battery life is 20 Hours. You hold done the first button until you hear the beep telling you they are active and another touch and they tell you are connected. Really simple use.
