“I just bought a Sony subwoofer SACS9. Hooked it up to a sony receiver STR-DN1030. I am not getting good sound. The light on the subwoofer is green lit. I also see a SW on the speaker display. what could be causing the issue. Cant get a good sound.”

Many recordings do not have enough bass to drive a subwoofer, especially music from the fifties, etc. Try a CD with good bass content. The crossover comes preset and it is suggested to leave it there. Ther is also a volume control on the back which independently contols bass volume. Use high quality RCA connectors.
