“I recently purchased the Sony SA-CS9. I have a Denon receiver AVR-S750H. I hooked up the sub with a subwoofer cable to the sub pre out spot on the receiver and I am not getting sound. Is the sub not compatible”

How are you connecting the other Subwoofer? If you get a Y-adapter then you can use standard RCA cables. Plug the single cable from the adaptor into the sub pre-out connection from the receiver and then hook it up to the two subwoofers They are mono speakers so you only need one cable, red or white, to go to each one.

Please try again later.1. have you turned on the power button to the sub woofer ? 2. have you set the volume to the sub woofer, there are two knobs that turn turn them both to the right 3. there is a switch for auto and manual , turn the switch to manual if you want the sub to be on all the time or to auto if you only want it to turn on during surround sound mode. Hope this helps, I can say that mine works like a champ and I can not be happier I will be getting another as for I have a 5.2 system and Its gonna sound Awesome !
