I get better range from large speakers, with that being said, apartments, condos, town-homes, etc. makes size and power a thing to consider. small speakers work very well, but consider a sub-woofer for base balancing and keep it to a low roar in close communal dwellings, courtesy and all. LOL! Small rooms don't need large, but hard to beat the quality of bass and range in large!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are going to be using these along with a subwoofer always choose small even for the towers. Even though your towers can handle the low end it is better to free them from the duty of reproducing the low frequencies so the towers can focus on the mid-bass/mid-range frequencies. After all the subwoofer is there to reproduce the low frequencies. And just in case you are not aware make sure that your crossover frequency for the subwoofer is at least 80z to prevent localization.
