“Will a Yamaha receiver 725 watt delivering 145 watts per channel overload or under load these speakers? I see they handle 100 watts”

These are some very good quality speakers. I would match the receiver wattage to the speaker handling capability to insure you don't blow out the speakers. I hope this helps.

You may check the specifications of your unit if it can match this speaker. Please take note that matching speakers and subwoofer with lower impedance (ohms) and watts than what the A/V receiver is rated may cause damage to the receiver and is not recommended. ~Earl
