• Hi Car, Thanks for the inquiry. When matching speakers and Audio/Video (A/V) receivers, the ohm rating of the speaker should be equal to or greater than the ohm rating of the receiver. If your vintage receiver has an impedance rating of 6-16 ohms then these Sony SSCS5 speakers should work. -Sam
