Hi Art11, There is a risk of hardware damage if you manually force the lens in or out. If this occurs, turn the power of the camera off and then back on again. You may also eject the battery pack then reinsert it into the camera, turn the power back on and check if the drive part of the lens moves properly. -Jerome
