• It doesn't have a picture left counter. When you run out of room on the SD card, it will tell you.

• Upper left side of your display, depending on which display mode you are in. I generally keep my rear display so that it shows all of the options on screen. It is also visible in the pop up viewfinder when you look through it, regardless of the mode the primary screen is in. I personally prefer to use the viewfinder when making photos.
