• you can set it to either 12/24 hour display; so you do not have to see/use the 24hr display

• It can be changed to 12 hour format. Its in the instructions.

• The clock is formatted to display time in a 12 hour format. I'm not sure it can be changed.

• This is only an example of showing the time. the ICF-C707 Digital Clock can display in both 24 hour format as well as 12 hour format as shown here on the graphic of the box.
