“SEL16F28, SEL20F28, SEL35F18, and SEL50F18. Do all of these lenses have good zoom range and also can have focus close up (3ft or so) all th way to max zoom? If not which are the best ones for both those things”

Hi Gabe, those lenses are not zoom lenses and are prime lenses. They have a fixed focal length SEL16F28 is 16mm , SEL20F28 is 20mm, SEL35F18 is 35mm, and SEL50F18 is 50mm. If you are looking for zoom lenses these are not for you but they are great in low-light situations. Out of all four the lens with the lowest minimum close focus is the SEL20F28 at 0.66 ft (0.2 m). The lens that have both zoom, close focus, and low light capabilities will cost much higher in the range of $1000+.
