• It is not required to connect a coaxial cable for watching pictures from the DVD player on the TV. You can connect the DVD Player (DVPSR210P) to the TV using either Component (Red, Blue, Green, Red and White) or Composite connection (Yellow, Red and White).

• No. Ours isn't hooked up to cable. We have it hooked up to a video projector only.
