• It will play DVD s and CD s. I don't have any Blu Ray, I don't think it will play that format.

• This player will play home movies, old fashion DVD's, music, but it will NOT play Blu-ray DVD's. Included are the Red, Yellow, and White cables to hook up to an older TV. It is perfect for homeschool DVD's as it remembers the place where you left off.
