Can this DVD player be used with a laptop? null

Yes and No. There are two models of this Sony DVD/CD player. The cheaper one has old school stereo cable phone jacks. The slightly more expensive one has those PLUS and HDMI jack (both which broadcast out to a receiving device). If your laptop has an HDMI port (and many new laptops do), then yes you can connect this Sony player to your laptop HDMI port and play movie DVDs, AND CDs (both commercially made CDs or ones you make at home with .mp3 files). It will NOT play Windows .wav files.
