• Component cables are best for this model because the video signals use 3 separate cables and activate Progressive scan for the best picture

• Yes you use your red, white and yellow.. It doesn't have HDMI because it doesn't play Blu Ray. Just regular dvds only.

• Yes, the yellow is for video out to your television and the red jack is for the right channel Audio out, and the white jack is for the left channel Audio out.
