Remove the closed caption from your television set.

Please try again later.Presuming in advance that you have already tried pressing on the Closed Caption (CC) button (if there is one) for your DVD player's remote, and have already selected "Off" via that button for closed caption on it -- then here's another possibility for you try (but less likely to the the culprit than the foregoing choice): Find the original remote that came with your Bravia TV set (i.e., NOT the remote for your cable box, etc., that you may have set up to also turn your TV on and off), and check the close caption button on that TV set original remote. Perhaps it is in the CC 'on' position (with respect to some one of the TV settings), unbeknownst to you (and is somehow effecting the CC when DVDs are played on that particular TV). Note: There are usually SEVERAL CC choices (e.g., turn on CC when the mute button is activated, etc.), so you may have to try all of them (pressing repeatedly on that CC button usually cycles through all of the possible choices). If that doesn't help, try all of the DVD player remote's CC positions too. Another possible solution: Find the manual that came with the player (or go to the DVD player manufacturer's homepage and find the online manual there for your particular DVD player model, and then open it up and read through the trouble-shooting part of the manual -- which is usually near the back of the manual. You may find that trouble listed there, along with instructions on how to eliminate it.) Moreover, depending on the manufacturer's particular labeling on the remote buttons, you may not be able to guess which button on the remote is intended to be used to turn CC 'on' and 'off.' But if the DVD player has that capability via its remote, the labeling will be shown in the manual, so that you can determine which button is the right one to push. (The labeling on the small remote that comes with many DVD players may not be all that obvious as to which one is for CC use, but the manual will tell you for sure.) Another possible solution: Hook the same DVD player up to some other TV set than the Bravia one, and see if the same problem occurs with that TV set. If it doesn't, then you can be pretty sure that indicates the problem is likely with a CC setting on your Bravia TV set, rather than a CC setting for the DVD player. Best of luck!
