You could use it on a sony A7xxx. But the camera will crop it down to a lower megapixels cause this lens is for aps-c body camera. You are better off purchasing the Sony FE 70-300mm or a 3rd party lens. But it can be use. In a pinch? I've use it on my A7rii that's equipped with 42mp. But was automatically cropped down to 18mp. And if your camera doesn't crop it down you will have vignetting around the outer edges.
