Hi, Sony commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. Yes the SELP18105G lens is compatible with the ILCE7SM3 camera with the following restrictions: A.) The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size. B.)The [Lens Comp.: Distortion] setting will be set to "Auto". C.)When recording 4K movies, the recorded image size is locked to full-frame. Thus, the edges of the screen may appear dark. D.)
