Yes, it can be connected to a Voice Recorder as long as it provides a Microphone input since this unit will be powered from the MIC jack of the recording equipment that has a plug-in power as stated inside the operating instructions manual of this unit: https://docs.sony.com/release//ECMDS30P.pdf ~Jeannette
