• Your PC could be too old and may be having seperate audio out and mic input and hence it will not work.

• Could be that your headphone jack is for output only? I use them with my computer (also Windows 10) all the time, but I have a separate jack for audio in, unlike my phone. My computer's a few years old though... :3

• Computer ports for sound and microphone are separate (there is mic port and and speaker port). If it had the type of headphone jack as your phone they would work.
