Hello Kia, The speaker has a sound diffusion processor which expands sound far and wide. It also supports EXTRA BASS for a deep, punchy sound. If you really want to maximize the efficiency of the speaker, you can pair two SRS-XB13 (Stereo Pair function) so you can enjoy a more powerful sound. Regards, David
