“Geek squad protection... need honest answer... I am interested in these headphones. I plan on keeping these for a good three years. Does the Geek squad protection cover accidental handling damage like if I drop them and they break and or I spill coke on them would it cover that OR just an extended warranty as long as they are not damaged by accidental breakage/damage???”

Check sony warranty, they replaced mine after one side started to charkle.

These headphones replaced other Sony headphones that my son sat on and broke the plastic connection between the ear part and the supporting structure. I had the 2 year warranty and they refunded my original cost (with in-store credit) after 20 months. Make sure you save your receipt.

No, they are just extended warranty. I'm not sure why they don't offer accidental damage coverage, but I checked and they do not.
