Yes Henry this lens works great on the a6300. I primarily use my 24-70 GM on my a7R mark II, but I also have the a6300 and a6500 and use those for run and gun shooting. Just keep in mind that the a6300 is a crop sensor APS-C, so with Sony, you have to multiply by 1.5x. So when on the a6300, this lens is like a 36-105. I can vouch for the images being amazing on the a6300/a6500. It's a great investment, and down the road if you invest in a full frame a7, a9, E Mount body, you will already have the best quality lens in this range. My philosophy on Camera's is to invest in the lenses, and upgrade the bodies.
