“Does the camera go into aps-c mode when using this lens?”

• Yes, it does on my A7R ii and on my A7s iii, but on the A7s iii it won't record video in 4k with the aps-c lenses, because the A7s iii sensor is too small to record in 4k with a crop lens.

• Hi Rane, Sony's commitment to customer satisfaction is our top priority. The camera will not go into APS-C mode automatically when using this lens because it is designed for a full frame sensor cameras. However, the user do have the option to manually activate APS-C mode if they want to via the menu system. Thank you so much for your question. And thank you for choosing Sony.
