• If the battery runs out, you can use the 3.5mm cord to listen to audio. Special features require battery power to work. According to the manufacturer, a full charge takes 6 hours, but if you need to use your headset quickly, 10 minutes of charging gives you 65 minutes of wireless use.

• You can listen, using the 3.5 hour even if the battery is drained, but will need to control some operations directly from the phone instead of the on-ear controls. ANC I think will not work unless on bluetooth.

• I am reading that they come with 3.5mm audio cable. sony specs say they work passively.
