Is there a remote control for this device? null

You can actually control the Handy-cam with your smartphone. There's an app for that. And it works really well.

You can actually download an app on your phone and remote control it that way - past that I think there are 3rd party remotes - but it does not come with a remote (other than the ability of the phone app) to see footage from this camcorder you can check my YouTube ;) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3FUtUvuiFNs
