Tom, The Playmemories iPhone app allows you to playback the files saved to your iPhone (you have to turn on that option, or the files will only save to your memory card). It will play back those files regardless if you're hooked to the TV or not ... Since they're on your phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes... The files are displayed on the iOS device and you can click the files to play them back. You'll need to select the option for the recorded files to be stored on both the camera and external device simultaneously
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tom, The iPhone/iPad can be used as a remote to capture photo and record video...also to zoom in and out. When you've set up the software to do so, the iPhone/iPad will also capture the image you record... So you will be able to play back the image on the iPad using play memories. (Not sure about video, though.. I think probably not). But for sure...when you switch to wireless, the only image you will see on the TV thru the hdmi port will be a message saying "using wireless". Video and all camera functions are disabled in wireless mode. You have to disconnect from wireless to use the camera functions.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To my knowledge, the short answer is no. The remote app only allows you to see that the lens see's, zoom, and control the record feature. Not to say improvements won't/can't be made in the near future.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hi tom, no it doesn't. Playback can be controlled through the camera only. You can start/stop recording or take pictures on your smartphone but not play them back. Thanks_Mitch
