“Dumb question, Not having a 4k T.V. is it worth buying still using it on a HDTV? Does it play on a regular tv just fine if recorded in 4k?”

Hi Jess, this camera let you record in 4K also in full HD 1080p X 60f, it means that you can watch the video in your old HDTV but if you want to see the best picture quality 4K you must to have a 4K TV.

You do have options to record at different levels, sonfor some events you may want to record in 4K while others you might record in a lower resolution. I have found it to be an all around amazing camera.

I saw a 4K tv that Best Buy sells for as low as 229. That’s not bad. Less than oled. Your camcorder films in other modes also, so don’t record in 4K. There are cell phones film in 4K now. The directions say to always set to 4K but you don’t have to. This cam corder has the moving eye. If you’re moving, you’re going to get a way more stable video. You REALLY want that. Nothing worse than a bouncing video.
