• Will record clearly but the zoom may not be enough to tell very much abot who was in on the play, etc. I am recording from about 25 feet without the lelephoto extendedd and it is clear but that is a far cry from 100 yards away.

• Hi BigDer123, yes, it will. You can zoom in to up to 30x so you can get a clear focus on far away subjects. Thanks_Mitch
