The speaker is not really designed for TV use but if you want it closer you may need to purchase a Bluetooth receiver to connect to your TV.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes you could, so long as your TV or receiver supports Bluetooth out. But most TVs and receivers will automatically terminate the Bluetooth connection when turned off, so you'd probably need to reconnect each time. If you use AppleTV you can easily select an AirPlay device as the sound source. Unfortunately, this unit does not have AirPlay.
