this is a 5.1 sound system so you can connect 2 rear surround speakers and one subwoofer. but you need to buy the speakers that are compatible with this model.

You can connect one pair of wireless rear speakers (SA-RS3S or SA-RS5) and one subwoofer (SA-SW3 or SA-SW5) to the HTA5000 at a time. Hope this helps!
