“Yesterday my Best Buy tech installed my Sony A95K TV and Sony 7000 Soundbar. They are connected via HDMI eARC. However the tech recommended AGAINST using the option of using the TV as a center speaker. What are the pros and cons?”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.In my opinion the sound bar center channel sounds better than the center channel on the TV. It’s more clear and louder. Hence why the tech probably went against it. TV speakers will never come close to the quality of a dedicated audio machine. But you can try for yourself and hear the difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No cons the tv and the Soundbar both output center channel duties. I have this same combo and can tell you the center channel is more clear and clean when you use both to output the center channel duties. So try it out and see if you like it.
