“Battery letter differences - infoLITHIUm v,h,p What is the actual difference in the battery pack designated "V", "H" or "P"? My camcorder (Sony HDR-CX330) takes a "V" whereas my Wife's camcorder Sony DCR-HC21) needs a "P". What makes them different and are the batteries interchangeable?”

Hi afretired87, The NP-FH50 is the successor of NP-FP50. While the NPFV70 has a different size/compatibility. -Anthony
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.They are different and NOT interchangeable. My Sony camcorder says "do not attach anything but H series." Dont risk damage, use what the manual says.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Every camcorder has a specific battery that is designed to work with that specific camcorder. Batteries are usually not interchangeable. Designations on the battery should be noted in the instructions. If you go to Sony.com you should be able to find all the info you need regarding the batteries. Remember, just because it looks like it fits, it may not. if it doesn't have the correct contact configuration, you can damage the camcorder
