No,the PS5 is all you need to easily change profiles.

No you can do it right on the PS5. It actually walks you through set up for button configuration soon as you first plug it in

No, it is done fully on the PS5. There is a tutorial on how to do it in the settings of the PS5 at Settings > Accessories > DualSense Edge Wireless Controller.
