Yes actually, the controller can be connected to a PC using the cable it comes with. As far as I know it has to remain plugged in for it to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. As an owner of both this controller and the Elite 2, I can say from a lot of frustration that the Edge actually works BETTER with a PC than the Elite does. Somehow Sony has better windows drivers right out of the box than the frustrating hunk of plastic that is the Elite. Plus, with apps like Steam, you can remap the Edge's buttons to anything you can imagine, even mouse clicks and keyboard presses. The Elite can't do this natively without some rather aggravating reversions to firmware.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Most games now that have controller support also support playstaion controllers. The few that don't you vcan use steam controller configurator. If it isn't a steam game I use DS4windows

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.most games require it to be connected usb, or use an 8bitdo wireless adapter. the 8bitdo does not let you use the extra buttons though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Press the PlayStation button and the share button together, and you should be able to connect them, it’s a Bluetooth controller and has the capability to connect to the pc/laptop if they have Bluetooth in it.
