This is a pro controller with mapable buttons and repalceable thumb sticks. This is the newest controller dropped by Sony.

Has changeable joysticks if the controller ever gets stick drift so you can just change the sticks and not replace the entire controller. Has 2 programmable buttons on the back you. can remap to a button that's easier to use. And adjustable triggers as well as programable options on the PS5 itself. This wasn't released until February of this year (2023) so it wasn't available for Christmas unless you meant preordering. If you're wanting just the newest revision of the regular DualSense controller those are only $70-75 without any sales which seems to happen often now. Not much has really changed in the regular controller except updated components to help with the stick drift. If you buy the newer colors you'll get one of these.
