No it doesn't, Playstation controllers don't have rechargeable battery packs you can switch out. You plug them in to charge them and you can charge them and play at the same time.

No, this is just the controller. PS5 controllers have rechargeable batteries factory installed in them already. You would just need the playstation usb cord. Or you can even just use your cellphone type c charger cable although it is recomended to use the official PS5 charger cable. They last pretty much forever if you keep them at least at 1 bar of power so it keeps it's core charge longer.
