They are more for mixing, they would work with the receiver as the adapter Jack is included. Very comfortable I would invest the money outside of production of music though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So i dont know whats better for movies, or music for that matter when it comes to surround sound versus 360 spatial. I can answer the others...yes these will work great with with movies, either from your electronic device or your head unit for your TV. You will need longer cables though unless you sit REALLY close to your tv. Or an extension cable. I'm sure most recievers have some kind of mixing to simulate surround sound in headphones...youll just have to see what sounds best
