• It does have a microphone and button to pickup, hangup, and adjust volume. I have not used for phone purposes, but the speakers are great and I think worth the price.

• Yes, they do have a microphone. And they are worth the money in my opinion. I have had less expensive headphones with good sound but not as good as these. And the cheaper earbuds tend to malfunction after 6 to 8 months. These seem durable. I actually owned a pair of Sony earbuds before these and lost them and these are the pair I bought to replace them and they are even better than my old ones.
